Every SPFL player going to the World Cup as Celtic, Rangers and Hearts among sides represented in Qatar

The World Cup is fast approaching and Scotland might be absent from the showpiece tournament but there's still plenty of Scottish Premiership stars jetting out to Qatar to represent their country's.

Clubs are set to land a windfall of almost £9,000 per day for every player involved. Celtic are most represented team with Aaron Mooy, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Daizen Maeda and Josip Juranovic all getting positive calls from their retrospective nations. However Jota didn't make Portugal's final squad. Borna Barisic is flying the flag for Rangers but Malik Tillman, James Sands, Rabbi Matondo and Antonio Colak were snubbed for selection.

Australia, who are matched with holders France, Denmark and Tunisia in Group D have the most players familiar to Scottish football enthusiasts with seven making up Graham Arnold's 26-man squad. A trio come from Hearts; Cammy Devlin, Kyle Rowles and Nathaniel Atkinson while former Light Blues striker Jason Cummings is rewarded for his goalscoring form at Central Coast Mariners.

Aziz Behich, Keanu Baccus and Martin Boyle also feature which means Dundee United, Hibs and St Mirren all have men involved on football's biggest stage. The £8,700 per day payment is given out for players who has played for a club in the last two years. That means Cummings who made the move Down Under from Dundee earlier this year, will also keep the FIFA cash flowing to Scotland. The same goes for ex-Hibs midfielder Jackson Irvine; meaning an incredible eight players in the Socceroos squad will bank cash for an SPFL team.

Here are the Scottish contingent heading to the World Cup which gets underway at the Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday November 20.
