"Every appropriate individual" will play GTA 6, says Take-Two CEO, who can’t imagine anyone over the age of 17 being uninterested: "I just don’t see it"

GTA 6.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick reckons that everyone over the age of 17 years old who owns a console will end up playing GTA 6 .

Speaking on The Game Business, host Chris Dring mentioned that a lot of his friends would've played GTA 5 in their early 20s and will maybe lack the time to actually play GTA 6 when it comes out – at least to the extent they used to play them. Zelnick, however, has no fear, as he says "I think we're gonna have a lot of 17 year olds playing GTA 6."

Zelnick reckons we aren't seeing people age out of games. "It's not happening," he adds, "we stay engaged with the kind of entertainment we fell in love with at the age of 17" saying that people generally stick to the music you liked at that age "to have the best possible time and the most relaxing time."

He elaborated " I don't think there's any risk to be like, all right, yeah, I didn't play [GTA] five or four or three or two or one, I'm not showing up. To the contrary, I think we'll be able to engage every appropriate individual in GTA 6" The Take-Two CEO then put out an open question, saying, "By the way, if you have a console and you're over 17, just explain to me - how is it that you've decided 'no, no, GTA 6, not interested'. I just don't see it."

Of course, Zelnick has to say 17 given that the game will almost certainly come with a Mature 17+ age rating in the US. But we all know that the majority of players will be 12 year olds calling you horrifically offensive things in the GTA Online lobby for the next 40 years until GTA 7 releases.

Some of GTA 6's big ideas are likely hiding in GTA 5, ex-Rockstar dev predicts – and you can look at GTA 4 to see why
