Everton's backroom team has a new coach with experience at helping players recover from injury.
The Blues have appointed Sean Miller to the role of first-team physical performance coach following his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the aftermath of former manager Bruno Lage's exit. Miller spent seven years at Molineux, where he worked with Conor Coady as recently as the summer.
His key focus at the Midlands club was on rehabilitation, including speed and agility work - as well as being part of a team that reflected on how to learn from injuries suffered by players with the aim of preventing future problems.

Miller initially worked in the Wolves academy as a sports and exercise scientist before stepping up to the role of first team strength and conditioning coach in the summer of 2019. Within the club's physical performance and sports science departments, Miller often concentrated on rehab work including speed and agility-focused warm-ups.
He was released after the club appointed Julen Lopetegui as the manager they hope will lead them from the relegation zone when the Premier League resumes on Boxing Day - with Wolves visiting Goodison Park. Lopetegui brought his own backroom staff with him as part of his appointment.
The new physical performance coach arrives at Finch Farm with a host of important squad players fighting to get back to full fitness from injury. His work could be crucial in helping Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ben Godfrey, Yerry Mina and Tom Davies as they battle setbacks in the hope of being available for crunch games around the restart of the domestic season. James Garner faces a longer recovery timetable with his back injury.
Miller, whose appointment was first reported by the website Training Ground Guru, follows academy director Gareth Prosser as being another former Wolves man to join the club having been known by Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell during his time as sporting director at Molineux.
