Everton and Liverpool viewers notice BT Sport error during commentary

Viewers of the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool were left complaining about BT Sport's coverage.

During the second half of the clash, spectators noticed an error during the broadcaster's coverage of the 241st meeting - as the coverage was out of sync.

There was one moment when Dwight McNeil's effort was deflected only for Alisson to make a brilliant save but the commentary from Darren Fletcher, Steve McManaman and Jermaine Jenas was ahead of the action being televised.

EVERTON: Player ratings as Jordan Pickford brilliant and five others shine

LIVERPOOL: Player ratings as Alisson and Joe Gomez good but two stars poor

The two clubs battled it out at Goodison Park in the first instalment of the season of the rivalry. Both Jordan Pickford and Alisson were the stars of the show as they were called into action on a number of occasions to keep the scores level.

Conor Coady had the ball in the back of the net against his former club after turning in Neal Maupay's strike. However, following the intervention of VAR, it was chalked off.

The Reds pushed hard late on as Mohamed Salah hit the post but in the end, neither side could be separated as the Blues' wait for a Premier League win continued following their fourth draw of the season. Jurgen Klopp's side moved to fifth, for the time being, ahead of the rest of this weekend's fixtures.

Viewers were quick to spot the issue from BT Sport and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
