Emmerdale star Kevin Mathurin has spoken with sadness about his co-star’s recent exit.
Kevin Mathurin, who plays vicar Charles Anderson in Emmerdale, has opened up about Katherine Dow Blyton’s character Harriet Finch being killed off. She was a victim of Emmerdale's 50th anniversary storm storyline.
In an interview with Inside Soap, Kevin said he was taken aback with the news the show would be saying goodbye to Katherine. He said: "It was a shock to me too.

"I enjoyed doing my scenes with Katherine and we worked well together. Plus I think Charles and Harriet's relationship was a really good one."
Kevin said it was sad to see his co-star leave but he was pleased to see her and character Harriet given a big exit. Katherine had been a regular cast member since 2013.

Kevin said: "It's a shame – but with all the action and the stunts and everything, it was a great send-off."
As we’ve previously reported, Katherine is now looking for the next step in her career.
She said: "I think I need time to decompress and to re-evaluate what I want the next part of my life to be."
