Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt rushed to support his co-star after their characters split last week.
Fans of the long-running ITV soap have been waiting for his character Paddy Kirk to find out wife Chas Dingle had been cheating on him with Al Chapman. Belle Dingle finally caved, months after first discovering Chas and Al's affair, and told a heartbroken Paddy the truth.
Earlier, viewers saw Paddy taking Chas on a surprise trip away only to arrive at the home Al, who has since died, had bought for them in order to run away together with Chas and Paddy's daughter, Eve.

While the affair was going on, a number of Emmerdale fans slammed Chas and even called for the character to be removed from the soap. Last month, after some harsh comments, Chas actress Lucy Pargeter took to social media to hit back.
She said: "Just a little thank you from me and my Emmerdale family. Thank you for watching, enjoying and being so involved and invested in the stories we tell. And judging from many of your comments about Chas at the moment, I’d say it’s done what we strive to do, get you talking".
Now Dominic has made a similar move, telling viewers how much he enjoys working with Lucy, the MEN reports. In a tweet, the actor said: "I mean.. Thank you very muchly. Sincerely. Glad you’re enjoying the episodes.
"They were immense fun to film. Just a quick note to say @lucyparge is playing a part, and is one of my best mates, and is one of the best actors I have EVER had the good fortune to work with. There."
