Emmerdale fans think they have figured out Claudette's plan as they brand her back injury fake.
The new arrival has already ruffled up some viewers feathers as they accuse her of lying about her back problem.
The mother of vicar Charles Anderson made a memorable appearance last week as she was introduced to his partner Manpreet Sharma, who clashed with at the café earlier on.
Whilst in the café, Claudette appeared to hurt her back after she summoned a waitress over to pay.
She ended up staying at Charles' house due to being in so much pain, much to Manpreet's dislike.
Yet on Monday night's episode, many viewers have claimed Claudette is making up her injury.
The grandmother was still staying over at Charles' house, and refused to get medical help and decided to treat her pain with rum.
General Practitioner Manpreet offered to check out her back, but was left suspicious.
Viewers also picked up on Manpreet's doubt as Claudette managed to lean across the sofa to get the remote control when no one was looking.
"She managed to lean over for the remote control, nothing wrong with her," wrote one viewer.
Another added: "Claudette isn’t the sharpest tool in the box is she? Trying to con a doctor with fake symptoms - I mean fair enough if it was fake nurse Wendy."
"Claudette is defiantly faking it," someone else wrote as a fourth commented: "Claudette's faking her back pain like Wendy fakes being a nurse."
One viewer quipped: "Manpreet has a half suspicion that Claudette is putting it on - I think she's right."
"Manpreet needs to catch Claudette in the act," said another whilst someone else asked: "So what's Claudette's endgame do we think money or?"
Could Claudette be manipulating her son Charles by faking her injury?
It has already been teased Claudette is set to clash with other residents on the ITV soap.
Claudette is played by Flo Wilson, whose TV credentials include Sanditon, Death in Paradise, Coronation Street and Help.
Some of her other appearances include stints on Hollyoaks, Waterloo Road, Shameless, The Syndicate and Vera, according to her IMDB page.
Flo already appeared on Emmerdale over 10 years ago for two episodes, as she played Nurse Bradshaw who helped Zak Dingle when he was admitted to hospital following a breakdown.
Actress Flo said: "I feel blessed that I was chosen to play Claudette and I hope to make the Emmerdale family proud of the work that I will do."
Kevin Mathurin, who plays son Charles, added: "I've had the privilege of working with Flo before, so when I saw her name on the sheet I knew she'd be perfect to bring Claudette to life. Flo is a wonderful soul, an amazing actress and is already settling in."
Teasing the arrival and what it will mean for Charles and the villagers, executive producer Jane Hudson said: "We are delighted to welcome Flo Wilson to the cast of Emmerdale.
"Her talent and experience will bring a new dimension to the show, and we can't wait for viewers to see her in action. She's certainly going to ruffle feathers in the Anderson household."
