Emmerdale 's Samson Dingle hinted at a possible departure from the village on Thursday night, ahead of him being disowned in upcoming scenes.
The teenager revealed he had an opportunity to study in another part of the country, meaning an exit from the village he has lived in his whole life.
Amid his vile betrayal towards Amelia Spencer and Noah Dingle, the character told his dad Sam Dingle in the latest episode that he might not stick around.
In a chat with his dad, Samson confirmed he had his college exam results back after recent tests.
Samson confirmed he was "top of the class" with a high mark, and that his teachers told him he might get into Oxford university or Cambridge university.
Both Sam and his son seemed thrilled with this news, as though this was plan after college.
So it seems Samson is keen to get away from the village and study somewhere else, but does this mean an exit is on the cards?
It comes amid the character blackmailing Noah for his inheritance money, using his baby daughter Esther as a bargaining tool.
Samson slept with fellow teen Amelia last year and she fell pregnant with his child, before giving birth in October.
He refused to have anything to do with his child or helping to raise her, even though his parents wanted to be involved.
Eventually he seemed to come around to the idea of helping to raise Esther, much to the annoyance of his relative and Amelia's partner Noah.
It did seem to viewers though that this was all an act, as recently he seemed to be even more invested after learning Noah had inherited some money from the Tates.
Recently he demanded money from Noah in favour of him keeping a distance, but he goes back on his word next week after a second bribe.
For the third time, Samson will ask for yet more money if Noah wants him to keep a distance - despite him actually spending more time with the baby.
However, the truth eventually comes out and Samson is soon confronted from all angles by his angry friends and family who are disgusted with him.
As things come to a head, Samson tries to wriggle off the hook but he’s left shaken when an ashamed Sam tells him to find elsewhere to live.
With nowhere to go, will Samson flee the village or will he manage to fix everything?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
