Emmerdale Danny's Miller's wife issues two word verdict as surprise return confirmed

Danny Miller's wife has issued a message of support after her husband's Emmerdale return was confirmed.

The 31-year-old actor is renowned for his portrayal of Aaron Dingle in the soap. The character's exited the fictional Yorkshire village in December when he drove away from the Yorkshire Dales after struggling to cope with the death of his partner, Ben Tucker.

Danny quit the show to pursue other career opportunities and has since made a triumphant appearance on I'm A Celebrity. However, show bosses have confirmed Aaron will briefly return to Emmerdale village in October to make the show's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Executive producer Jane Hudson told the ECHO: "Is he going to find out his mum is cheating on Paddy [Kirk] who he sees as a father? What if he discovers that Sandra [Flaherty] is not all about Liv [Flaherty]?"

Danny married childhood sweetheart, Steph Jones, earlier this summer and the two welcomed their first child together last year. Steph sent a message of support as she shared a photo of Danny's return as it was covered on Lorraine.

She said: "Go on."

Aaron won't be the only familiar face reappearing in Emmerdale as Diane Sugden and Tracey Metcalfe will also be returning to the village. Producer Kate Brooks told the ECHO: "They'll be at the heart of some really big stories that will impact their lives and the lives of the characters they will leave behind."

Emmerdale will mark its milestone birthday with a month of celebrations in October. Show bosses have revealed the episodes will centre around a devastating storm which will forever transform the fictional village.

Kate added: "It will leave a massive trail of destruction in its wake and some of our best loved villagers will be in peril. It's safe to say that the village won't be the same ever again because the impact this storm will have is massive."
