Embiid, Maxey Thrilled After Snapping Bucks' 16-Game Win Streak

The 76ers were finally able to put an end to the Bucks' recent dominance, snapping Milwaukee's league-long 16-game win streak on Saturday night in a wild thriller, 133–130.

After the crucial road victory, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey were fired up en route to the locker room, with both players exclaiming over the "big win."

"Big freaking win," said Embiid, with a smile on his face. Philadelphia's All-Star center and MVP candidate scored 31 points and provided 10 assists and six rebounds in the game.

"Big win on the road," said Maxey, who chipped in 26 points of his own on a hyper-efficient 8-of-12 shooting from the field.

It was James Harden’s vintage display that led the charge for Philly, however. The Beard led all scorers with 38 points, shooting 11-of-26 from the field and making all 11 of his free throw attempts while adding 10 assists and nine rebounds.

The Sixers improved to 41–22 with the win over Milwaukee, closing the gap between the two teams in the Eastern Conference to just four games.

It was the first time the Bucks had lost a game since Jan. 21, when they were defeated by the Cavaliers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo provided 34 points and 13 rebounds, but had seven turnovers in the loss.

The 76ers now hold a 2–1 lead in the season series against the Bucks, with one more meeting slated for April 2. Embiid and Maxey’s excitement is more than understandable after they did what no team was able to do for 40 days in toppling the red-hot Bucks.
