Edinburgh weather: Capital set for 'mixed' weekend as sunny intervals and rain expected

The weather at the weekend is set to be a mixed bag for the capital with weather forecasters predicting sunny intervals as well as spells of rain throughout the next few days.

According to the Met Office and the BBC, Edinburgh is set to see highs of 18C on Friday (August 19).

These same temperatures are set to last as we make our way to the weekend with Saturday looking to be the best day.
