Armed police have swooped on a residential area in Westerhailes and cornered off a block of flats in an ongoing disturbance.
The incident took place around 1.30pm on Monday May 29 when alarmed residents saw dozens of police with guns in a raid on Murrayburn Place.
A block of flats in the housing estate has been tapered off and there is still a large police presence on the scene. It is unclear what the nature of the incident is or if there is any risk to the public.
