Edinburgh schoolboy, 12, refused onto Lothian Bus at night and told 'iron your ticket'

Lothian Buses are investigating after an Edinburgh bus driver reportedly refused to let a 12-year-old boy onboard due to his 'crumpled day ticket'.

Andrea MacFarlane says her 12-year-old son Freddie was on his way home on Thursday evening, April 27, when he attempted to board a service 31 from East Craigs heading towards the city centre shortly after 8pm.

With Freddie expected home around 8.30pm, Andrea became worried and tried to call her son but his phone was turned off. Around 45 minutes later, at 9.30, he arrived home and informed Andrea of what the driver allegedly told him.
