A painter and decorator who was caught with heroin worth nearly £200,000 on the streets in a safe was jailed on Thursday.
Police were issued with warrants to search Scott Milne's home in Caledonian Crescent, in Edinburgh, and found three kilos of the Class A drug.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard that the heroin recovered was three times higher in purity than that normally found at street level.

Advocate depute Lorraine Glancy said this would allow for further adulteration of the drugs to take place for street sales and meant the haul was potentially worth up to £198,000.
The court heard that pounds 67,000 in cash was also found during the drugs raid. Milne lived alone at the one bedroom flat where police found the safe.
Milne was subsequently interviewed by police and made no comment to all the questions put to him. Milne, 47, admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin on November 10 last year, when he appeared in court today.

Defence counsel Kenneth Cloggie said a background report would be required on Milne, who has no previous convictions, before sentencing him.
A judge told Milne: "You will no doubt appreciate the seriousness of the charge to which you have now pled guilty."
Lord Weir continued sentencing until next month for the preparation of a report and remanded Milne, who was on bail, in custody.
