Edinburgh Game of Thrones fans will be given the opportunity to sit atop of the Iron Throne this August as the iconic prop arrives in the capital later this month.
The Throne is travelling across the capitals of Scotland, Wales, and England in order to promote the premiers of the House of the Dragon.
The series will be a prequel to the original Game of Thrones show that had audiences on the edge of their seats for years.

And now those in Edinburgh will be able to be the first in line to sit upon the Throne of power when it arrives on Calton Hill on Tuesday, August 23 and Wednesday 24.
The legend of the set piece states that it was forged by the first king of the Targaryen dynasty, King Aegon, from the swords of his defeated enemies - The Iron Throne is the stuff of legend for GoT fans.
It will first arrive at the Tower of London on Monday, August 8 before making its way to Leicester Square on August 15; Cardiff between August 17-18; White City in London between 20-21 August and Edinburgh between August 23-24.
The new-look Iron Throne will be touring the UK, arriving first at The Tower of London on Monday 8th August, a location steeped in mediaeval history.
Fans who wish to visit the Iron Throne will need to apply for tickets, with booking details set to be released on Sky ( @SkyTV ) & NOW ( @NOW ) social media channels at 9:00am on Friday 5.
The first 25 fans to sit on the Iron Throne per booking session will receive a complimentary 6-month NOW Entertainment Membership.
House of the Dragon airs on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW from Monday August 22.
The Iron Throne will be open to those that have made bookings between the hours of 10:00am-5:00pm on the chosen dates.
