Edinburgh drivers issued warning as major city centre road closed for nine days

Edinburgh Lothian Buses North Bridge

Drivers and commuters have been issued a warning over ongoing road works on major roads in Edinburgh.

For nine nights, North Bridge and South Bridge will be closed to southbound traffic between 8pm and 6am from Wednesday April 12.

This comes after North Bridge has been closed since 2021 and is finally set to open again to two-way traffic on April 21 - although though the footpath on the west side of the bridge will remain closed for the time being.
