A spa located in the heart of Nottinghamshire has unveiled a blissful new £4m garden with all-year-round facilities. One of the main attractions is a 20m outdoor hydrotherapy pool.
One of the largest of its kind in the UK, it has been designed to boost overall wellness using the latest water therapy technologies. With an average temperature of 39°C, and powerful built-in massage jets and water features, guests can swim and enjoy a full body massage even when it's cooler.
The pool also features four standing therapy stations and air loungers with headrests, as well as 16 benches that offer guests a variety of relaxation options to choose from, such as back and calf jets. Other new features are a reflect and relax room, an outdoor sauna and a firepit surrounded by by trees and plants, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

However, relaxation isn’t the only benefit of Eden Hall’s new outdoor oasis. It provides multiple physical and psychological benefits too, according to Dr Glenn Williams, principal lecturer in psychology at Nottingham Trent University.
In addition to reducing blood pressure and stress levels, Dr Williams revealed that being around fire and water connects humans to the natural world - similar practices to what our ancestors followed - which is a wholly nourishing spiritual experience. Listening to the sound of running water and being beside fire can also improve a person’s heart and breathing rate - essential for achieving ultimate tranquillity.
The garden also has a new botanical brasserie, called The Vinery, for a spot of dining as all that chilling can make you feel hungry. The bright space has been designed to bring the outdoors in, with incredible panoramic views.
New menus include breakfast, all-day and drinks menus, boasting a selection of popular dishes and drinks. During breakfast, guests can choose from a range of delicious and freshly cooked dishes including a matcha yoghurt bowl, full English breakfast, and American pancakes. On the all-day menu, guests can enjoy teriyaki vegetables and noodles, Eden Club sandwich, pizzas, and salads.
Complementing the food is an extensive drinks menu including an array of cocktails such as Garden of Eden, Summer Delight and Tropical Royale.
Commenting on the launch, Eden Hall’s managing director Nerys Chell said: “We’re thrilled to unveil the new Spa Garden at Eden Hall. Helping our guests relax and unwind is core to Barons Eden, and we know the garden will be a haven for guests to help improve their overall health and wellbeing.
“We can’t wait to welcome guests to enjoy the new features and we hope the new tranquil environment will be the perfect outdoor sanctuary that can be appreciated for many years to come.”
Nestled in 15 acres of manicured grounds near Newark, the spa is already home to a crystal-clear swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs, rose infused steam room, saunas and tropical showers as well as 25 individual treatment rooms. Guests can choose from a wealth of experiences, from a spa day to a twilight spa experience under the stars, as well as delicious dining options in the recently redesigned Taste of Eden.
