Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah appears to have given the green light for his side to sign Ajax ace Mohammed Kudus with praise for the midfielder on social media. It comes after the Ghanaian scored a crucial brace in his nation's crunch match with South Korea in the World Cup group stages.
The Black Stars won the match 3-2 as Kudus' flicked header and curled effort has seen them take charge of their qualification hopes in group H. It continues the 22-year-old's rise to stardom, having netted four and assisted twice in just six Champions League games for Ajax this campaign.
His brace shows he can step up to the big occasion and potentially backs up a huge claim over Brazil star Neymar Jr before the World Cup. He told the Guardian: "Neymar is not better than me. He’s just a higher profile player, that’s all." Kudus is now outscoring Neymar in the tournament, with the latter now missing the rest of the group stage for the Selecao.

With his performances starting to grab the headlines, it could soon see some of the biggest clubs in the world following a potential move. It wouldn't be impossible to see him join up with Arsenal, seeing as he fits the age profile required at the club as well as the energy and quality further up the pitch.
It would also see him join up with his Ghana national team teammate Thomas Partey in the centre of midfield, with the pair holding down the central ranks during the World Cup so far. If there needed to be any convincing of the rest of the squad for a move, Mikel Arteta doesn't have to look too far.
That's because striker Eddie Nketiah took to social media to have his say on the Ajax star's brace for the Black Stars, simply posting: "Kudus!" with some emojis clearly depicting how impressed he was with his display.
It remains to be seen if the Gunners would be likely to make a concrete move for the 22-year-old, however they may regret missing out on him if not.
