Ed Sheeran has showed off his huge new tattoo as he took a topless dip in his Sussex pond.
The Shape of You hitmaker, 32, revealed the impressive ink, which features four photo frames on his back.
One of the frames features the footprints of his daughter Lyra Antarctica, two, and the other of his youngest child Jupiter, 12 months.
The singer has two empty frames, with sources previously suggesting they symbolised the number of children Ed wanted with his wife Cherry Seaborn.
Ed debuted his ink in 2021, when a source said: "He has Lyra’s footprints in one and is saving the other spaces for the three more kids he wants."
"Now he just needs to persuade his wife Cherry to have more," they told The Sun.
Ed and wife Cherry are childhood sweethearts, having met whilst at high school.
It wasn't to be as Cherry transferred to America to attend Duke University in Durham, North Carolina to study for a degree in molecular biology and Ed launched his music career.
After hitting a low-point, a frazzled Ed saw a way out in using some of his wealth to tour the world - and included a stop in Cherry's new place of residence.
Ed took the step of reaching out to his old school friend and luckily, Cherry was delighted to hear from him.
It wasn't long before the pair were spotted hanging out together in the States.
"This has been the first time I’ve ever actually had the time to fall in love properly. I’ve always got into relationships very passionately — I’m a redhead and also Irish," Ed said of their early days.
In January 2018, Ed announced he'd secretly popped the question to Cherry over the Christmas holidays.
Ed married childhood sweetheart Cherry in a private ceremony at the singer's country estate.
Then in 2020, two became three as Ed and Cherry welcomed their first daughter - Lyra Antartica Seaborn Sheeran.
Two years later Ed made a very similar announcement when the duo welcomed another baby girl.
"We've had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4."
Ed has previously shared his want for more children, telling The Sun : “I’d love more kids man, I’d love it, but it does all depend on what Cherry wants too because it’s her body.
“I’m really proud of Cherry as a mother. She’s such an incredible human, I’m just in awe.”
Before Lyra came along, Ed admitted to living on a diet of wine, beer, and fried foods.
“I stopped three months before Lyra was born because I was determined I was going to be the person to drive my wife to the hospital. I was 15-and-a-half stone at my peak and I think I’m ten-and-a-half now – I was big, it really showed.
“Lyra has been the biggest motivation in terms of detoxing my life, and I think it’s a change everyone needs to go through if they’re a parent.”
