EasyJet customers have been warned to prepare for disruption today due to an IT issue earlier today.
Sky News is reporting that the airline has cancelled around 200 flights - with flights due to depart between midday and 2pm on Thursday affected.
It is unclear as to how many flights leaving Scottish airports are impacted by the disruption.
Officials at Edinburgh Airport have urged passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport today.
A spokesperson for the airport wrote: “EasyJet are experiencing an IT systems issue, with some disruption to their flights as a result.
“Their teams are working to have the issue resolved as soon as possible.
“Please check with the airline for any updates on your flight or baggage.”
EasyJet say that the IT system issues have now been resolved - but passengers should continue to be prepared for disruption.
A spokesperson for the airline told the Daily Record: "easyJet can confirm that the earlier IT systems issues have now been rectified.
"Unfortunately, they resulted in some cancellations earlier today and while we expect to operate most of our remaining flying programme some may still be subject to some disruption in the coming hours.
"We advise customers due to travel with us to continue to check Flight Tracker for the status of their flight before making their way to the airport.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused and customers can apply for compensation in line with regulations."
