Eamonn Holmes swigs from champagne bottle as his co-star speaks out on 'missing' wife Ruth

Eamonn Holmes could be seen swigging champagne from the bottle as his co-star spoke out on his "missing" wife Ruth.

The GB News host, 63, was in high spirits as he attended the races at Royal Ascot.

Wearing a full suit, the veteran broadcaster grinned at the camera alongside his co-host Isabel Webster and Laura-Ann Barr.

Eamonn took time out from his busy schedule and recent public criticism of his former employers at ITV.

Yet many concerned fans wondered where his Loose Women star wife Ruth Langsford was as she didn't attend the fun day out.

It was Eamonn's GB News co-host Isabel who addressed Ruth's absence on Instagram.

Posting a pic of herself at the event, Ruth commented: “Gorgeous,” alongside a fire emoji.

“@ruthlangsford we missed you Ruthie xx,” Isabel wrote back in response to the compliment.

It's not clear why Ruth missed the even as she attended with Eamonn last year.

Eamonn was flooded with questions from his own fans on social media, as they asked: "“Where is ruth.”(sic)

“Wheres Ruth,” another one of Eamonn’s 796,000 followers echoed.

“Why are you never pictured with Ruth for a long time,” a third fan commented.

Another agreed: “exactly! Why does Eamonn not really put him and Ruth up on instagram?”

Concern from fans didn't stop the former This Morning host from having a good time as he even switched hats with blogger Laura-Ann.

"That's a lovely hat you have there," Eamonn pouted toward the camera as the floral headpiece accidentally slipped off his head.

Laura quipped in the caption: "That's a wrap."

The GB News host has repeatedly branded This Morning "toxic" after Phillip Schofield parted ways with ITV and his management company following his admission to having an affair with a younger colleague.

Eamonn presented This Morning on Fridays with his wife Ruth Langsford but the couple were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

Eamonn has previously claimed to "know the truth" abut This Morning's investigation into Phillip's affair with a younger colleague, which the disgraced host himself branded "unwise" but "not illegal".

"I know the truth and I know what the truth is," he said on GB News. “I know what I know and they [ITV] don’t seem to know a lot. People take sides on these things whether it’s the Boris business or the Phillip Schofield business. But people can’t handle the truth."

Earlier this week Ruth publicly showed her support for her husband.

The Loose Women host took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about her partner of 26 years.

Sharing a photo of her own father Dennis, who sadly died in 2012 after a battle with Alzheimer’s, the 63-year-old wrote: “To everyone like me, missing their Dads today I sent you a big hug.

“And Happy Father’s day to all the wonderful Dads out there, especially @eamonnholmes.”
