Liam Reardon is back on screens following his Love Island 2021 win. The former bricklayer, who hails from Merthyr, has joined the Celebs Go Dating line-up after splitting from his girlfriend and co-star Millie Court.
On his first date, the Welsh star sat down at a restaurant with 20-year-old Kate. Kicking off the conversation, Kate said: "I haven't watched Love Island so I don't know anything about you," to which Liam replied: "That's even better, I prefer that."
"There you go... well you're Welsh," Kate stated before Liam responded: "Wales is beautiful... have you heard of Snowdon?"

Kate said she hadn't which led Liam to list off some places, before incorrectly adding Cornwall into the mix. Liam asked again: "You've never heard of Snowdon, no?"
"I've heard of Anglesey," Kate said. "Have you heard of Cornwall or Pembrokeshire?" Liam then quizzed.
"Wait I thought Cornwall is in England?" Kate replied looking confused. Looking perplexed himself, Liam said: "Cornwall... is Cornwall Wales? Oh, maybe it is England."
"I don't know!" Kate said as Liam continued: "Well Pembrokeshire is in..."
"Oooh, I don't know," Kate replied: "I'm really not that well travelled of England," before narrator Rob Beckett pointed out: "Well you know Cornwall ain't in Wales."
Liam joined the E4 dating show as a latecomer and made his first appearance on Friday, December 2. Speaking to experts Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson, the reality television star spoke candidly about his split from Millie, explaining he was the one who ended things because he was struggling to adjust to his new-found fame and so many changes to his life all at once.
He said: "It's been a rollercoaster, I went from a small life in Wales, being a bricklayer - to being catapulted into this new life and I found it difficult. You're trying to give 100 percent to each other, you're trying to give 100 percent to yourself, you're trying to give 100 percent to this new life and career and it's hard to juggle everything at once."
"Why did you break up and who broke up with who?" Paul then asked, to which Liam replied: "I instigated it because if we want to be together, I want to be 100 percent together.
"For me to love her, I need to love myself and for the past few months, I've been a bit... I need to find myself a bit again. Just never say never, in the future, we could rekindle." You can read more on what Liam said here. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
