Duk and Ylber Ramadani Aberdeen transfer fears eased as Portugal pre-season absence explained

Aberdeen chief executive Alan Burrows has moved to allay fans' fears over star duo Duk and Ylber Ramadani after their absence from pre-season training.

Albanian International Ramadani was linked with a move to Lecce over the weekend and red hot frontman Duk has also been touted for moves to Italy - with Serie A side Torino reportedly interested - and England. And supporters were fearing the worst after failing to spot the pair during videos shared by the club’s social media of Barry Robson putting his squad through their paces in the Portuguese sunshine.

But Burrows was quick to play down any fears after taking to social media himself to say: “A few fans have asked why they’ve not seen anything of either Duk or Rama in the pre-season content so far. The manager has already confirmed this in an interview, but both lads were given a wee bit extra recovery time given their involvement with their respective national teams in June."

"We will welcome both back this coming Monday (10th July) ahead of the new campaign as we continued to build towards a busy 2023/24.”
