It's set to be a very windy day with heavy, scattered showers on the way for Dublin.
A Status Yellow wind warning for the entire country expired at 2am, but Met Eireann has warned that "blustery conditions" will continue throughout the day. Last night winds of up to 122km/hr was reported at Mace Head, and there were some power outages and downed trees in the west of the country.
Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly wrote on Twitter last night: "Sunny spells and showers Friday but then heavy rain moving again from the West tomorrow afternoon and some very heavy rain at times tomorrow evening and early part of night.

"Another 20mm possible! Wind won’t be as strong if you want some good news," he added. In its forecast for today, Met Eireann said: "Breezy this morning with scattered showers but dying out through the morning and becoming largely dry and sunny for a time.
"Showery outbreaks of rain will spread from the west in the evening. Fresh and gusty westerly winds will also ease for a time in the afternoon before backing southwesterly and freshening again in the evening. Highest afternoon temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees."
In its overview, Met Eireann warned that it will continue to be "cold during the rest of the weekend and early next week "before milder conditions return. Here's Met Eireann's forecast for the weekend:
Friday night
"Outbreaks of rain at first tonight with heavy falls at times. A clearance to scattered showers will follow in from the west later as the rain clears eastwards before morning. Temperatures will fall between 2 to 4 degrees as the rain clears, in moderate to fresh southwest to west winds.
Saturday
"Sunny spells and blustery showers tomorrow. Becoming windy as fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds develop. Highest afternoon temperatures of just 5 to 7 degrees but feeling even colder due to the wind chill factor.
Saturday night
Cold tonight and breezy at first with scattered showers, with some wintry falls possible on high ground. Driest and clearest overnight in the south and east. Fresh and gusty westerly winds will gradually ease in most areas through the night but will remain strong in the southwest. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees, with frost and icy stretches developing.
Sunday
"A cool, bright day with spells of sunshine and showers, with falls of sleet at times. Highest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in mostly moderate west to northwest winds.
