Dublin fans slams All-Star nominations of number of Kerry footballers as 'laughable'

Dublin fans have slammed a number of Kerry's nominations as 'laughable' after the Kingdom has 12 nominees for All-Stars.

The long list of players was revealed on Wednesday morning with the All-Ireland winners leading the way and David Clifford nominated for the Footballer of the Year award which he is expected to win.

Some six Dublin players were also nominated in spite of their All-Ireland semi-final defeat with Evan Comerford, James McCarthy, Lee Gannon, Brian Fenton, Ciaran Kilkenny and Con O'Callaghan all nominated.

And a number of Dublin fans took exception to the number of Kerry nominees.

One Dublin fan posted online: "Some of the Kerry nominees are laughable"

And the same user argued: "2/3 Kerry players as well who shouldn’t even be in the alternates list based on pure performances last year"

Dublin's Lee Gannon will do battle with Ethan Doherty of Derry and Jack Glynn of Galway for the Young Player of the Year gong.
