A Dublin based Ukrainian who returned from the Polish border at the weekend described it like something from a “horror film”.
Daryna Kushnir, who is originally from Truskavets in Lviv, came to Ireland when she was seven-years-old and settled in Monaghan with her family. She then went on to study in Trinity College and now works in Dublin.
Ms Kushnir went to Poland last Sunday to collect her elderly grandfather who had to abandon his country because of the Russian invasions.
