DRIVERS are being warned of delays on Glasgow's M8 after an emergency incident this morning.
Traffic Scotland said traffic is slowing on the motorway's westbound carriageway between Junction 14 (Blochairn Interchange) and Junction 16 (Dobbie's Loan Interchange) due to a crash at Junction 16.
In a separate update posted at 9.04am, Traffic Scotland said: "Traffic remains heavy westbound from Junction 10 due to a number of incidents.
"Approx. 40 minute delay with a further collision affecting the carriageway at Junction 17."
The road firm has also said a breakdown further down the carriageway is also impacting traffic.
Motorists are being warned to expect delays of between 40 and 50 minutes.
Currently, it is unclear if anyone has been hurt in the collision, but Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.

A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: "M8 - Junction 14 to 16.
"Traffic slowing westbound this morning due to a collision at Junction 16 with a further breakdown also affecting the carriageway.
"Approximately 15-minute delay back from Junction 13."
