A driver bravely rushed to help a man who was seriously injured after a crash involved a VW polo and a bike.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Creswell Street and Napier Street in St Helens after reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a black VW Polo. The cyclist, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his arm.
The driver of the VW Polo remained at the scene. However police need more information to help their investigation.

Officers are now appealing for the "key witness" to come forward. The a driver of a silver Hyundai vehicle, who stopped to help the cyclist after the crash could have information for police.
Inspector Gavin Dixon said: "We believe the man driving the silver Hyundai who bravely stopped and helped the victim after the incident is a key witness and could have important information that may assist our investigation. I would like to appeal directly to him and anyone who saw this collision on the junction of Creswell Street and Napier Street on Thursday 3 November at 11am to contact police.
"If you were in the area and saw the collision, have any CCTV and dash camera footage or any information which may assist the investigation, please come forward as soon as possible.
