Even the most seasoned of drivers may end up struggling when out and about in the snow, and it would appear that the recent snowfall has presented somewhat of a parking challenge for some. One exasperated driver has now opened up about how she ended up parking "like an utter w*****" during the recent cold snap, only twigging once the frost had all melted away.
The woman in question had parked her vehicle in a car park blanketed with a thick layer of snow, not realising she'd done anything out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, once the snow had disappeared, her comically bad parking blunder become all too apparent.
With the tarmac exposed once more, the driver was left kicking herself after realising she'd parked right across two parking spaces.
The snow had completely obscured the dividing line, meaning she'd had absolutely no clue at the time.
She has since taken to Reddit with a snap of the terribly parked car, and plenty of fellow motorists could sympathise with her confusion.
The driver, who goes by the username u/Naps_in_sunshine, sighed: "When the snow melts and it turns out you've parked like an utter w*****."
Clarifying the situation in the comments section, she explained: "When I pulled up I couldn't see the lines, and it was interesting how everyone has left more space between cars.
"Given that lots of people were off work yesterday as schools were shut it was fine but this car park is usually overflowing with cars parked on pavements and verges."
One fellow Reddit user commented: "You get a pass because the snow was covering it and you didn't know."
Another empathised: "I parked in the snow, I'd parked what I thought was the right distance from the barrier, and I was over two bays because they were designed for Minis."
A third wrote: "My neighbour parks like this even without snow. She managed to span three of the four spaces outside our houses the other day."
