The Cleveland Browns add another big body to what is an already fairly stacked defensive front with the selection of Baylor interior defensive lineman Siaki Ika.
A two-year starter for the Bears, Ika showed off some impressive next-level talent during that span. Ika’s big body, short burst, and impressive strength helped anchor a Baylor defense and massively improved their running defense. Over the course of his two seasons as a starter, Ika wracked up 36 tackles, 39 quarterback pressures, six quarterback hits and an impressive six sacks coming from the nose tackle spot.
While Siaki Ika will not be expected to start right away after the Browns spent big on free agent Dalvin Tomlinson to man the nose tackle position for the season. Ika could see time in a rotation, and might be a passing-down player for Cleveland. Either way, Ika should be groomed and developed to be the starter for the 2024 season if things go right for the rookie.
