Doorbell footage captures boys making a heartwarming decision when trick-or-treating

A doorbell camera has captured the moment two lads dressed up in costume made a heartwarming decision on Halloween.

Jodie Laithy, has taken to social media to share the lovely moment two boys came up to her house to distribute their sweets instead, saying the act is "the cutest thing ever" she has ever seen.

The woman captured the footage on her Ring doorbell camera on the night of Halloween, Monday, October 31, report The ECHO.

In the video, two young last dressed in ski masks can be seen approaching Jodie's door and ringing the bell.

After a few moments waiting, the boys notice that the pumpkin bowl by the entrance was left empty.

One of the youngsters can then be seen picking up the bowl and showing it to the camera, before saying, "somebody has taken them [the sweets]" before placing it back down on the chair it was on.

Immediately, he then opens his plastic bag full of sweets, as the other lad stares at the bowl in confusion.

The boy with the New Look bag then starts generously placing his own stash of goodies into the unfilled bowl, before the other youth starts rummaging in his backpack and pulling out treats too.

As the two complete the lovely act of kindness, they then turn to the Ring doorbell camera and wave before saying "happy Halloween".

Jodie took to share the clip on Facebook in the hope that the boys' parents would see the video, and know just "how amazing their children are".

Speaking about the altruistic act, Jodie said: "These kids actions were so cute. I hope their parents see it and are proud of them.

"We left a bowl of sweets out for the kids while we were out, and because it was empty they put some of their own sweets in it. I didn’t expect that from two young lads, amazing they are."

She went on to add: "And their little wave and 'happy Halloween' was the cutest thing ever."

Since Jodie posted the clip, it has been shared hundreds of times on Facebook, and has been commented on too.

One woman said that it, "made her cry".

While another person wrote: "Oh I hope their mums see this and feel so proud! This is the best, what a gorgeous pair of boys."

And a third said: "Awww this made me cry."
