'Don't care' - Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel offers blunt response to Liverpool question

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has insisted he has no interest in Liverpool's quest for the quadruple as he prepares to face off against the Reds in a second final of the season.

Jurgen Klopp's side claimed the Carabao Cup at the end of February after defeating the Londoners 11-10 on penalties, with keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga blazing the decisive spot-kick over the bar to hand Liverpool victory. The two teams will now meet again in a domestic final, having both booked their place at Wembley for the last stage of the FA Cup.

The Reds' place in the showpiece fixture, which takes place on May 14, was secured after winning 3-2 against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon. Chelsea, meanwhile, were victorious in the other semi-final, having today defeated Crystal Palace 2-0.

After exiting the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid and being out of the Premier League title race, this is the only remaining piece of silverware Chelsea can claim this term. For Liverpool, the situation could not be more different with three trophies still up for grabs. Tuchel is only interested in making 'life hard' for Klopp's men, however, and has no opinion of Liverpool's pursuit of an unprecedented quadruple hunt.

"I don't care about their other titles," the German told Sky Sports after today's win at Wembley. "We lost the final [against Liverpool] but we gave everything. It was a big match that went until the very last penalty. Of course we want to turn things around, but it will not give us the Carabao Cup title back.

"We are here and we here last season in the FA Cup final. That means a lot to us because it is the FA Cup, the most prestigious and traditional cup in the world.

"There are not many bigger games to be part of, and that's why we are grateful and will be well-prepared because we play against one of the strongest teams in the world, who have outstanding form. It will be a tough one and we will try to make life hard for them."
