Charlie-Peters has had a colourful life. It was a tough existence for him on the streets of Thailand, where he was stabbed, before he was rescued by a backpacker and began a new life in the UK.
But then he fell ill with an unpleasant disease. It caused Charlie-Peters, an 11-year-old mixed breed, to lose weight and start vomiting. At one point vets didn't think he make it through the next 24 hours.
Holly Sawyer, who rescued him from a grim existence when she was backpacking in Thailand, was told to expect the worst. She was advised to make the journey to the clinic to say goodbye.
