A new documentary about a street in Bedminster is set to start filming this month, and is being produced by Bristol historian David Olusoga's TV company.
Uplands TV are shooting a documentary about the history of Hebron Road, which runs between North Street and West Street. The programme will be broadcast on a "major" national TV broadcaster and will explore stories from a number of streets across the country - although the specifics are currently being kept under wraps. As part of the production, a pop-up museum will be built to celebrate Hebron Road, and Uplands TV are calling for people who live on the street to contact them and share their experiences.
In a post on a local south Bristol Facebook group, they wrote: "UPLANDS TV is making a brand-new series for a major UK broadcaster exploring the untold stories of streets across the country, and we're keen to feature Hebron Road. With your help, and with a team of local curators and expert historians, we'd like to build a pop-up museum, full of exhibits that celebrate Hebron Road today, and the stories in its past."
