Minnie's outfit has been redesigned as part of a campaign for Disneyland Paris' 30th year anniversary.
The famous female mouse is set to debut her new power suit in Disneyland Paris' entertainment resort from March 2022, where she will wear sport it in time for Women's History Month.
Stella McCartney has reportedly said that the new outfit makes Minnie Mouse "a symbol of progress for a new generation."
The topic was discussed on Loose Women on Friday morning, and both the panel and viewers were divided over Minnie's new outfit.
"They've taken away her dress, her heels and the colour pink from her, they will not take her lashes #LooseWomen," one viewer said.
"Who exactly has complained about Minnie Mouse wearing a skirt?," another asked.
"Good god. They’ve put Minnie Mouse in a trouser suit now, is there nothing they won’t leave alone?" one viewer fumed.
"Why is Minnie Mouse getting a pantsuit?! Her dress is cute and iconic," viewer Sophie said.
Other Twitter users have also questioned if they are trying to make Minnie Mouse identify as non-binary.
"We know where this is leading. An androgynous, non-binary version of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse is coming," one use wrote.
"Minnie mouse goes Hillary Clinton. What's next? Minnie (they/them) the non-binary mouse? Minnie wants to be Mickey?."
However Disney fans will be happy to know that Minnie's new outfit is only temporary, as the Loose Women panellists confirmed after receiving a comment from Disney.
"She will wear it for a limited time only. It's one of many new offerings that guests can experience and she has an expansive closet of more than 200 different outfits," revealed Kaye Adams.
