It’s looking like The Witch Queen might be Destiny 2’s boldest expansion ever, at least if this new extensive video preview is any indication.
Even though the expansion is still a couple of weeks from release, Bungie was gracious enough to bestow guardians with an in-depth look at what’s to come. Some highlights include campaign details, crafting specifics, the new Legendary difficulty, and the wildly exciting revelation that Season of the Risen is launching alongside the expansion. There’s also a grand total of eight new exotics launching with The Witch Queen. So yeah, this is a meaty update to be sure.
Anyone chomping at the bit for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen should kick back, relax, and watch the entire 13-minute presentation below. Remember, if you’re at work, keep one earbud out to hear anyone coming. Don’t get caught slacking off now!
Bungie isn’t slowing down one bit despite the recent acquisition by Sony. In fact, there’s a good chance Bungie will be making even more live service titles now, especially since PlayStation head Hermen Hulst thinks so highly of Bungie’s expertise with the genre. Time will tell how that all shakes out, though. Imagine if Bungie somehow ended up making another Killzone. (This won’t happen, but it’s fun to dream about)
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is coming out on Feb. 22 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, and PC via Steam.
