Derrick Henry has words with Panthers’ sideline after vicious hit on Tyjae Spears

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was seen jawing at the Carolina Panthers’ sideline after a vicious hit on his teammate, running back Tyjae Spears, during the Week 12 game.

Titans quarterback Will Levis threw a pass to Spears down the sideline in the second quarter, leading to the rookie back taking a huge hit from Panthers safety Xavier Woods that knocked him out of the game briefly.

Initially, referees threw a flag for what looked like a hit on a defenseless receiver, but it was ultimately picked up and Woods was not given the penalty.

After the play, Henry had words with the Panthers’ sideline. You can check out the hit in question and Henry’s exchange with Carolina’s players below.

Thankfully, Spears turned out to be OK after taking the big hit and was able to return to the game. We’ll have to wait and see what the league thinks about the hit when fines are handed out on the Saturday before Week 13.
