Denise Van Outen 's ex Eddie Boxshall broke down in tears as he told followers he's had a 'very hard few months'.
Strictly Come Dancing's Denise and her former fiancé Eddie were together for seven years before their shock split was announced earlier this year.
She was rumoured to have asked Eddie to leave their home amid unconfirmed reports that he had cheated with several women.
Meanwhile, Eddie took to Instagram to share how the happy news he recently heard put everything into perspective for him.
In an emotional clip, he teared up and told his fans: "I've had a really bad time over the last couple of months.
"These aren't tears of upset, they're tears of joy because one of my best pals has just been given the all-clear for his cancer.
"And this puts everything that anyone goes through into perspective."
Eddie continued: "You've got one life, stay healthy and live it. Dan, love you boy. Get in there!"
Back in January, Denise confirmed the long-term couple's split with a statement on social media.
She said: "Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie.
"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship.
"I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories made."
She added: "We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time, especially for our children" followed by a heart emoji.
