Delivery agent working for PAK based ISI arrested by UP ATS

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested Mohammed Raees from Lucknow on Sunday. ATS claimed that Raees (26) worked for Pakistan based Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and was passing out information to the Pakistan handlers with whom he was related through a link from Mumbai.

Additional Director General of police, ATS, Naveen Arora, said that based on surveillance and informer’s tip-off, we found activities of Raees suspicious and summoned him from his residence Gonda to ATS headquarters in Lucknow.

"Mobile phone of Raees was inspected along with other details verified and it surfaced that Raees had passed on photos and videos of Jhansi cantonment and got money in return. An ATS team has also been dispatched to Maharashtra for tracing the link which got him connected to Raees," said ADG Arora.

ATS said that Raees disclosed that five years ago he went to work in Mumbai initially working as a delivery boy for a food delivery company. Later he met one Armaan. Armaan tricked him by referring to the oppression of Muslims in India and brainwashed him.

"At the same time, Raees told Armaan that he wants to go to Saudi Arabia to work. On this, Armaan told Raees that he would give his number to a person from Pakistan, who will call and if he is able to do the task, they want him. Then they will give him a chance for a job in Dubai," said ATS based on interrogation with Raees.

ATS said that Raees got a call from Pakistan and was asked to work for them and in return got money.

ADG ATS said that they were investigating other aides of Raees involved in the ISI module.
