NEW DELHI: Almost 10 days after a doctor and an operating theatre technician were mowed down by a car near a hospital in Najafgarh, police have arrested a second-year student of Hisar University for the crime. After police tracked the offending vehicle to a company, its director claimed that it was being driven by his employee, but it was later proved that his 21-year-old son, Mayank, was behind the wheels at the time of the incident. Police have initiated legal action against the father for attempting to mislead the investigation.
The victims of the hit-and-run case were Dr Rajiv Ranjan, who worked at Dada Dev Hospital, and operation theatre technician Manish Kumar, who was employed at Acharya Bhikshu Hospital.
