Delhi High Court directs Home Secretary to appear in person over non-compliance of order

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has directed the Secretary of the Delhi Government's Home Department to appear in person in a contempt petition alleging non-compliance with an order passed in May 2025.

The matter concerns a direction to reconsider the cancellation of remission granted to life convict , following his arrest in an attempt to murder case. Sonkar had approached the High Court after his remission was cancelled.
