New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday said Rs 1,370 had been transferred directly into the bank accounts of students in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools to help them purchase uniforms, shoes, school bags and other essential items.
Speaking at a ceremony at an MCD primary school in Tagore Garden, Gupta said the direct benefit transfer (DBT) initiative would ensure transparency in the disbursal of funds and enable every eligible child to receive the amount.
