Davina McCall looks incredible as she divides viewers with her outfit choice on BBC The One Show

Davina McCall showed off her incredible figure as she raised awareness perimenopause and the menopause on The One Show. The 54-year-old mum-of-three looked sensational in a black silky slip dress as she appeared on the famous sofa to chat with Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas.

The Masked Dancer judge explained she was 43 when she began suffering symptoms of perimenopause. Perimenopause means "around menopause" and refers to the time during which the body makes the transition to menopause, when periods stop due to lower hormone levels.

As the TV presenter opened up on her own experience, viewers watching at home picked up on her outfit. @suzysasha tweeted: "#TheOneShow Davina looks stunning!"

The Long Lost Family presenter told on the BBC One chat show how she encountered frightening brain fog that made her break down in tears. Thanking the former Big Brother host for her candour @SamanthaMalin told her: "I developed absolutely crippling anxiety - to the point where I could not leave the house. "

They added: "I had terrible joint pain but no hot flushes. Every woman has different symptoms from the menopause. Thanks Davina." Davina recalled how, because she had symptoms that weren't hot flushes, she didn't realise what was happening to her.

She suffered uncharacteristic anxiety that put her off driving after dark and 'brain fog' which led her to accidentally forget forget celeb interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's name. "It was literally like a blank page," she said.

She has a new book called Menopausing: The Positive Roadmap To Your Second Spring following an awareness-raising Channel 4 TV show Sex, Mind and the Menopause.

"A bit of understanding goes a long way," she said, explaining her hopes of educating more men to interact with their partners and work colleagues about the menopause. She told that itchy skin, dry eyes, dry mouth and low libido are also symptoms. @IckieBickie tweeted: "Davina looks incredible. She’s doing a fantastic job, spreading awareness of the menopause."
