David Moyes responds to Celtic talk after being installed as favourite to replace Ange Postecoglou

David Moyes is happy and settled at West Ham as he shut down Celtic links.

The Hammers boss has been installed as the bookies' favourite for the Parkhead hot seat if Ange Postecoglou departs for Tottenham. The English Premier League outfit have marked the 57-year-old as the reported 'preferred candidate' to take over the hot seat from Antonio Conte on a permanent basis.

Daniel Levy is reportedly ready to ramp things up next week after Celtic's Scottish Cup Final showdown with Inverness at Hampden as they bid to land a domestic Treble. That has been the only thing on the mind of Postecoglou this week despite talk rumbling on over his future as he bids to add the famous old trophy to the League Cup and Scottish Premiership titles.

But it appears Moyes has ruled himself out of the running should Ange make the move down south be declaring he's 'never even considered' the role while also admitting he is 'really happy and settled' in his current job.

Asked about the links to Celtic, Moyes said: “I’ve never even considered it. I’m West Ham manager and I’m really enjoying my period here.

"The club have been so good to me and we’re enjoying the journey we’re on here. I’m hopefully trying to continue growing a really good football club so I’ve not given it any consideration.

"Through my years, I’ve been linked with lots of jobs at different times, but I have to say I’m really happy at the moment and settled where I am.”
