Cristiano Ronaldo's future is once more in question.
Manchester United star Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford just a year after returning to the club. A return to boyhood club Sporting CP has been floated, while there has also been reported interest from elsewhere in Europe, notably Bayern Munich and Italian side roma.
United themselves are, Mirror Football revealed, furious that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes met with new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly about a potential move to Stamford Bridge. Club chiefs have made it clear that Ronaldo is going nowhere in the near future. A high-level source said: “Cristiano is not for sale. We want - and fully expect - him to be with us next season.”
