A daughter fears she will be killed after her dad who murdered and abused her mum's corpse is recommended for release.
Jennifer Johnson, from Ohio, US, is fighting to stop her dad Daniel Johnson, 62, from being freed after he murdered her mum Angela Johnson Florimonte, on Boxing Day, 1989.
Johnson "raped her corpse" before burying his wife's body on a Switzerland County farm in Indiana. The murderer was later sentenced to life in prison.
Jennifer, who was just five years old when her dad brutally murdered his wife who was 28 at the time of her death.
She said: "I didn’t understand why, or why she wasn’t coming back, or why my dad wasn’t there either."
"Christmases after that, we didn’t celebrate. It was too hard on the family."
Now she is campaigning to stop him being freed from prison after she recently found out from the Ohio Parole Board that her dad is being recommended for release.
Jennifer said "my dad will kill me if he gets out" as her siblings launched a petition to stop his release.
She even wrote to her dad in prison to ask why he killed Angela but, according to Jennifer, he could never give an answer.
Jennifer said: "That man has not shown remorse. I wrote him and asked him why.
"Never once did he apologise. He just blamed it all on my mum."
Her mum Angela was last seen alive walking out of the hardware store where she worked in Delhi Township, in the US state of Ohio.
Her family says that Johnson most likely kidnapped her while she was leaving the store.
Jennifer said: "He didn't just shoot her, he beat her to death.
"He raped her dead body."
Johnson reportedly admitted to burying his wife on a farm in Switzerland County, pleading guilty to aggravated murder.
Jennifer said: "He drove around with her body in the truck, with my brother in the car."
Johnson was jailed for life, becoming eligible for parole after 20 years.
Jennifer said: "He got life.
"Life should be the rest of his life, because I got a life sentence that I got to deal with with no mum and dad."
Jennifer, who said that she is petitioning the parole board in a bid to convince them that her father is still dangerous.
She added: "My dad will kill me if he gets out, especially now, ‘cause I’m the only one fighting out of his kids."
Johnson is currently incarcerated at the Madison Correctional Institute in London, Ohio.
