Darius Danesh’s brothers Aria and Cyrus have spoken for the first time about their beloved sibling’s passing, calling him a ‘supernova star’.
Posting on Aria’s public Instagram page, the pair shared unseen family pictures of themselves and their parents with the Colourblind singer, who was found dead in a Minnesota hotel room on August 11.
They wrote: "Brother, We will miss you so much. You were a supernova star, shining light and love to so many.
"It was the greatest privilege to be your brother for all these years. While your earthly presence has passed, your spirit will forever be with us. We will celebrate and love you, always.
"Until we meet again, Aria & Cyrus.”
One picture shows Aria and Cyrus celebrating with Darius at the backstage party for the theatre production of From Here To Eternity, which he starred in, as they all pull funny faces. Another sees the trio dressed for what appears to be Cyrus’s graduation, with another showing them having fun aboard a vessel at sea.
A further picture shows the three brothers casually dressed on a night out while others shows them with their mum and dad Booth and Avril. Another poignant image shows Darius with his hands clasped as if in prayer, with a cap saying Believe or Leave.
The family have kept silent since releasing a statement earlier this month through an official release about Darius’s shock death. The Pop Idol star - who passed after the 20th anniversary of his number one hit single Colourblind - died from “inhalation of chloroethane”, confirmed by the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
His death was ruled an accident by the medical examiner.
Following the new post on Instagram, Darius’ ex wife Species actress Natasha Henstridge wrote: “My heart is forever with him….I love you all dearly.”
Darius’ ex girlfriend Claire Caudwell, who was previously married to billionaire Phones 4u founder John Caudwell, also wrote: “My heart has not stopped hurting since we lost our great love, D. Sending love to you guys and Avril and Boothe."
Holywood actor Orlando Bloom posted a love heart and ‘stay strong’ emoji alongside a rainbow.
