The ex-wife of Darius Campbell-Danesh has shared a heartfelt tribute to the Scots singer following his death aged 41. The former Pop Idol contestant was found dead at his home in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11, his family confirmed.
A cause of death has yet to be determined. Since news of the tragedy broke, celebrity friends and fans around the world have paid touching tribute to the much-loved star.
And now, his former partner has shared her own emotional words with a quote from Mother Theresa, reports the Irish Mirror. Natasha Henstridge, who married the musician in 2011 before their divorce in 2018, posted several sweet photos of the pair.
She wrote in the caption: "I have found the paradox that is you love until it hurts. there can be no more hurt- Only more love -Mother Theresa. There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love. Forever Janam."
Natasha started dating the Scottish singer-turned-actor in 2004, after he had moved stateside, and the couple tied the knot in 2011. They split two years later, before finalising their divorce in 2018.
Among the images shared by Natasha was one of the pair taking in a glorious sunset on a beach, while another shot showed the pair with Natasha's two sons, to whom Darius was stepfather. Natasha, who is best known for her role in the 1995 sci-fi horror Species, also uploaded a photo from their wedding as they posed with their hands in the shape of love hearts.
Her post comes after a number of stars from the music industry paid their own tributes to the star. Among them was Pop Idol co-creator Simon Cowell.
The music mogul, 62, called his death a "tragedy" as he wrote: "I first saw Darius on television over 20 years ago and I got to know him really well. He was charismatic, funny and just a great person to be with.
"His passing, for someone so young, is an absolute tragedy and my heart goes out to his family and friends."
Fellow Pop Idol contestant Gareth Gates, who finished runner-up behind Will Young in the same year Darius featured, also penned a heartfelt tribute. He described how Darius "took him under his wing" while they were on the show together - when Gareth had been just 17.
He also called him a "gentle soul" that "lit up every room" as he stated how heartbroken he was at the news.
