Daniel Berger enjoyed significant early success in his PGA Tour career, but things haven't always gone to plan for the American, including a long spell out with injury.

Here are 20 things to know about the multiple-time PGA Tour winner.

1. Daniel Berger was born and raised near Tampa, Florida, and now lives in Jupiter.

2. He began playing golf at the age of 10.

3. He made his first hole-in-one at the age of 13.

4. He picked range balls at The Dye Preserve between the ages of 13 and 15 in exchange for playing privileges.

5. He attended Florida State University.

6. His father, Jay, was a former tennis pro and head coach of the 2012 US Olympic tennis team. He has also been the director of men's tennis for the US Tennis Association as well as the assistant coach for the US Davis Cup team.

7. His grandmother, Roslyn 'Cookie' Swift Berger, was a top amateur golfer and was inducted into the Greater Buffalo (NY) Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.

8. Berger says he would be a professional tennis player if he weren't a golfer.

9. He won the PGA Tour's Rookie of the Year award in 2015.

10. He won his first PGA Tour title at the FedEx St Jude Classic in 2016 and successfully defended the title a year later.

11. He was part of the US Presidents Cup team that beat the Internationals 19-11 at Liberty National in 2017.

12. He finished T6 at the 2018 US Open, where he played in the final group in the last round. He began the third round tied for 45th and 11 off the lead, but posted a 66 in calmer morning conditions to tie the lead at three over after 54 holes. It remains his best finish at a Major.

13. Berger's third PGA Tour title came at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge, where he defeated Collin Morikawa in a playoff. It was the first PGA Tour event post-COVID-19.

14. He used a set of TaylorMade MC irons from 2011 until the end of 2024, before switching to Ping Blueprint S irons

15. Before the switch, Berger was spotted buying sets from people in the comments section of Golf.com's Instagram page.

16. In 2021, his fourth PGA Tour win arrived at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He eagled the 72nd hole to beat Maverick McNealy by two.

17. Berger played for Team USA at the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, and helped the hosts to a resounding 19-9 win.

18. His career suffered a big setback in 2022 when he sustained a back injury. It kept him sidelined until the 2024 American Express.

19. Away from the course, he enjoys spending time on his boat.

20. His girlfriend is Tori Slater, who is a Florida realtor. From Kentucky, she graduated in Marketing and Business from the Florida Atlantic University.
