Dancing on Ice's Regan Gascoigne plagued with frustration over live show error

Regan Gascoigne has admitted to Dancing on Ice that he was left disappointed and frustrated after suffering the second stumble in two weeks on the ITV show.

While he's been bookies favourites for weeks now and still is for that matter, Regan, son of football legend Gazza, was left beating himself up again this week after a slight mistake in an otherwise great routine alongside pro partner Karina Manta on Sunday night.

Sunday night's Dancing on Ice proved to be an eventful one for a number of contestants with the likes of Bez, who was again voting through and Liberty Poole, the latest eliminee, also falling during their performances.

Regan, 25, and Karina both dressed as reptiles for their skate to Ed Sheeran's Shivers and all was going well until he lost his footing during the Judges' Challenge element of the routine and then fell forward after losing his balance during a knee slide right near the end.

Mistakes or otherwise, Regan and Karina still scored a fantastic 36.5 out of 40 as his mum Cheryl and sister looked on from the audience.

But, despite scoring his highest marks of the series so far, Regan took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal he'd been a bit hard on himself.

Next to a clip of the performance, he wrote: "This has been my Favourite routine so far…..Stumble or no Stumble…..I still Love this routine! & Loved performing as a reptile with @karinamanta! I’m just so grateful to even be here in the first place & to get to perform another week means the world!!

After thanking viewers for voting, Regan, added: "I know now in my head it wasn’t as bad as I had originally thought but It took me a day to get over the frustration & disappointment in my head!

"Especially after doing such a clean run on our Dress Rehearsal."

This weekend is Movie Week on Dancing on Ice and Regan and Karina will skate to You Can't Stop The Beat from hairspray.

While bookies Betvictor still have Regan as favourite to win, they think Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor could be on thin ice, with her odds of winning now at 50/1.
